The Best Ever Guide to Thanksgiving

Yesterday we shot our annual Thanksgiving Dinner. And it was insanely beautiful and we can’t wait to share. We kept the focus on simplicity. Limiting your menu to a totally doable variety. Designing a gorgeous table without stress or anxiety. Planning recipes that are slam dunks no matter what your experience level. And the result was perfection. But before we unveil, we wanted to remind you guys that there is a wee little bit of beautiful inspiration from last year’s Thanksgiving – from decor to diys, recipes to timelines. It’s all there for the taking!

And while we’re reminiscing on Thanksgiving of years’ past, we may as well revisit some of our DIYS. Because, honestly, these beauties deserve a second look (note: click each image to grab the step by step instructions!). We actually used these conversation starters at my mother in law’s Surprise party and they were such a hit, we decided to give them an elegant makeover. Printed on transfer paper then ironed onto little scraps of raw linen and tucked in our magnolia centerpiece, meant that the conversation flowed beautiful from the moment the turkey was carved to the licking of pie plates. These napkins (below) are one of my favorite DIYs of all time. Because they look so incredibly expensive, so incredibly chic and yet took no more than 15 minutes to craft. Click here for all of the details!

I truly believe that we could put these chargers into a fancy pants store and they would fly off the shelves. They look so authentic, so handcrafted – when the reality is that it’s nothing more than a bit of X, Y & Z. And now, a year later, they still sparkle and have held on to their gorgeous perfection.

The thing is – Thanksgiving shouldn’t be so intimidated to us newbies. It should be approachable and lovely and full of memory making prettiness. So maybe you need a little help with the timeline leading up to the big day or you could brush up on your hostessing tips or maybe you just want the ease of shopping lists, the most mouth-watering recipes and a general field guide for all things turkey. Well that is exactly what we included in our holiday e-mag. An anxiety-free filled guide of goodness. And whether you’re a Thanksgiving newbie or a total veteran, we’re confident you’ll find some of our tips & tricks helpful.
