Brand History
Boxingcat is the name of world’s first soundless film by Thomas Edison in 1894. A century later in Eastern Europe, sculptor, photographer and filmmaker Joseph Von Shion started a studio designing all sorts of jewelry and decorations for fashion brands in Italy. Being a cat lover, Mr. Shion keeps hundreds of cats in his studio yard and inspired by cats, he brought out classical masterpieces including world famous cat series jewelry sets. Later in 1989, Mr. Shion started his own fashion brand Boxingcat, designing, manufacturing and selling jewelry in middle and east Europe. The business grew steadily for twenties years. Till 2009, Donald Calvin and Company Investment Limited in Hong Kong acquired the brand, and thus brought the fashion brand to America and Asia-Pacific countries.
