After a short & sweet, six month engagement, and a grueling final semester of law school (like, literally the day after graduation), this gorgeous wedding took place. Before you swoon over all the details, like the custom cornhole boards & magnolia leaf escort cards, not to mention their venue, know this: they spent zero dollars on their venue by having the wedding at Karissa’s parent’s home. K + B also have zero creative bones in their bodies, so because their venue was free, they splurged on a rad wedding team. Bash, Please, Our Labor of Love, Flower Wild, Pharmacie LA … just to name a few.

Having the wedding at Karissa’s parent’s ranch in Westlake Village, California gave them the flexibility to add lots of fun touches, and was the perfect marriage of southern accents and beautiful, rustic California scenery.

A few pieces of advice from Karissa… Your wedding day is going to go by in the blink of an eye…. it will all feel like a blur. I would tell other brides to SLOW DOWN and really enjoy their wedding day, pausing to reflect on all of the special moments! Also, if you have a vision, stick with it! Having a theme or story that is close to your heart will really make a special experience for all of your guests! For us, we loved celebrating Brian’s southern heritage as well as my California roots! It was so fun to combine those two themes into one BEAUTIFUL day!
