Rustic Elegance at Dos Pueblos Ranch

It never fails, when a wedding from Jose VillaLisa VorceMindy Rice and Joel Serrato lands in my lap, I get a tad bit nervous. And it’s all because I just know I am about to showcase a work of art worthy of the most exclusive gallery – and how can you possibly do that justice? Luckily their work speaks for itself, and boy does it have beautiful things to say about this rustic beauty (recently featured on Martha Stewart Weddings). It’s overflowing with details that will make your heart sing, and you can see them all here.

All of that pretty is topped off with a film so beautiful it could only be from the super talented Joel Serrato….

From Lisa VorceEmily and David’s wedding was pure magic! It was such a joy to be a part of their beautiful wedding. The bride’s bouquet was filled with wild bay leaf, astilbe, Fair Bianca rose and scabiosa pods and she wore a stunning head wreath of cream astilbe. The ceremony included hay bale seating covered in drop cloth and the ceremony program was printed on a kraft lunch bag and filled with popcorn for the “petal toss” at the end of the ceremony.

For reception design, we crafted tablescapes filled with paper sacks of cherries, amber glass vessels, garden rose floral arrangements, Queen Anne’s lace, ticking stripes as napkin holders for servers aprons, and hand-painted beer growlers as table numbers. Tables for cocktails and cards were placed near the fire pit, and chipboard pockets with grommets secured to two framed canvases held escort cards.

Emily and David’s guests enjoyed a variety of games and activities, including vintage pin the tail on the donkey, playing cards, dominoes, a photo booth, and a silhouette artist. Guests also went home with flask favors filled with tea and lemonade, stamped with their anchor monogram. It truly was a perfect day
