Romantic DIY Napa Valley Wedding at Andretti Winery

Napa Valley weddings are pure wedding perfection. They never fail to completely sweep me off my feet, and when we get to see them through Jessica Burke‘s talented lens? Well that’s when my to-do list has no chance, because I simply must surrender the remainder of my day to this gorgeous gallery. With handcrafted details from the bride, stunning florals from Soulflower Floral Design, coordination by A Savvy Event and a gorgeous film from Paperweight Films – I’m pretty sure I’m head over heels in love with every bit of this post. See why here.

From the Couple…Brock and I met in San Francisco and many of our early dates were spent in Napa and Sonoma. So when we first got engaged, we knew pretty quickly that we wanted the wedding to be up in wine country and that we wanted it to be outdoors with good food and wine. Our families and friends would be flying in from all over the US and the world so we wanted to make sure that everyone would have a great time! We took several road trips up to Napa and Sonoma and must have considered dozens of venues before we found Andretti. Andretti was off a quiet road amidst the Napa wineries and offered an absolutely stunning outdoor setting for a dinner party. Plus, there was an option to have the ceremony out in the vineyards which we gladly took advantage of!

We spent months planning and designing the wedding and crafting DIY wedding décor. I probably went through about 20 bottles of gold spray paint for all of our gold décor! Brock and I also brewed our own wedding ale which the guests loved. Our parents helped so much with some of the DIY aspects – Brock’s dad made chocolate truffles for our wedding favors, Brock’s mom did the calligraphy for our wedding escort cards and my parents designed the wedding aisle décor and planned the Chinese tea ceremony. The DIY aspects, along with an amazing team of wedding vendors, made the day really special… from the delicious food by Ramekins to our wedding coordinator, Brittany at A Savvy Event, to Soulflower SF who brought my pink and gold floral vision to life, to Jessica Burke Photography and Paperweight Films who together did an incredible job capturing the day. Most importantly, we were so happy to see all of our loved ones coming together and having fun. It was a magical night we’ll never forget.
