Pretty Pastels at Cornerstone Manor

Captured beautifully by Kourtney Fossaluzza, today’s shoot comes to us straight from the beautiful state of Ohio. Shot at The Cornerstone Manor (one of the first Historical Mansions built in downtown Middletown, Ohio), this shoot has all the good stuff! You know, a beautiful couple, elegant flat lay styling, the cutest Goldendoodle, and stunning florals to boot.

As for the venue, the Italianate Victorian Mansion was built in 1861 and can host a variety of events, including intimate weddings. From the photographer, “With the 15 ft ceilings and original millwork, The Cornerstone Manor was the perfect place to host a styled shoot.”

“The large tree in the backyard is where majority of the shoot took place. It did rain on us for a bit, but afterwards we had the most beautiful sunset. The Cornerstone Manor has some amazing indoor spaces to shoot for getting ready shots and we used those spaces as well.”

“My vision for this shoot was to use a mix of pastels to make this shoot feel romantic and an intimate feeling. I wanted this shoot to be a mixed of classic, romance, & bohemian style. I incorporated the colors; peach, blush, dusty blue, and gold.”

“With an amazing team of vendors, my vision came to life. The large tree in in the backyard of the venue is perfect to have a ceremony for your intimate wedding. It was also a perfect location to setup the tablescape and settee for portraits.”

“The models for this shoot were Cassidy Zeiter and Adam Rivers. They’re a real life couple and are absolutely adorable. Cassidy was perfect because she totally understands how a shoot goes because she’s also a photographer. They went above and beyond for me at this shoot and I am forever grateful!”

 

“Details are my favorite! I wanted to incorporate a lot of details for this shoot and purchased some of my favorite items to go with mood board. Shop Moss Handmade seriously makes the most beautiful hairpieces and earrings!”

 
“I’ve always loved when couple’s include their pets into their wedding day and I wanted to make that be apart of the shoot. The venue’s owner, Sue was kind enough to let me use her Goldendoodle, Tennessee for the shoot!”

“Floral V Designs made an amazing flower wreath for Tennessee to wear and he looked beautiful. He was the perfect dog for this shoot.”

Bridal style was so on point thanks to the hair stylists and makeup artists at Alea Beauty. I mean, check out that smokey eye though! And this hair? Goddess status.

“The gown was seriously perfect for Cassidy and if fit her like a glove! When I saw the gown on her in BoChic Bridal Boutique, I instantly knew it was the one. It was a Nicole Spose Milano dress in light pink tulle.”

“I’m in love with them all. Bella Belle Shoes  makes wedding heels that are perfect for your wedding day! And who can say no to Macarons? Seriously the Macaron Bar delivers to your house! It’s amazing and yummy!”

“The rings, cake, wood cutouts, tux, linens, rentals, and stationery were all created/donated by some amazing vendors and fit the shoot perfectly. The rings were a mix of stacking rings and a solitaire which was donated from the lovely, Honey Designs Jewelry.”

Kosin’s is a small family owned business that has numerous items/linens to rent for a wedding day! They are amazing to work with and super helpful with creating your wedding day vision!

Calligraphy by Jen K Calligraphy added a special touch of elegance and whimsy.
“The cake was beautiful and had water color painted on the middle layer! It was gorgeous! And the flower petals were made of icing.”

“Overall, I feel this shoot was beautiful and I didn’t let the rainstorm stop me from getting the shots I needed. The field back behind the venue was perfect for portraits, as so was the front of the venue and the sidewalk that has a pretty tree draping it for shots.”Goodness! What a dream scene!
