After poring over this stunning soiree designed by Love This Day Events and captured by Paige Elizabeth Photography, I do believe mountain elegance may just be my new favorite category of wedding. Every image and detail makes my heart sing, and it doesn’t hurt that the pup could quite possibly be the cutest pup on the planet. Basically, I love this gallery.
From Love This Day Events…Lindsey and Joel’s September wedding in Telluride was dreamy perfection. We designed the day to be timeless and a reflection of everything that Joel and Lindsey love (namely great shoes, pretty flowers, Oliver – the best dog ever- and fly fishing). I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Telluride and after the amazing time we had planning and producing this wedding, Telluride may be one of my favorite spots for a Colorado Destination Wedding.
From the Bride…How did Joel propose? We went to Beaver Creek for a long weekend to escape the business of travel and work. It was a resting/spa/fishing weekend and he surprised me there. Oliver (our dog) delivered the ring wrapped in a box around his collar. Honestly I thought for sure there were earrings in the box.
What was the most important part of the wedding weekend to you two? We wanted our friends to have an amazing weekend with their friends and us! We also wanted to give everyone the excuse to dress up and impress their significant others. Lastly, having our families together in one place, we wanted everyone to be together and close to us.
How did you pick Telluride? I always wanted a small destination wedding and Joel I think had envisioned something bigger so this was a great place to satisfy both of us. We also discovered the place together on a vacation and not a work trip. Fell in love with the charming, quiet, beautiful town.
What was your favorite moment of the day? Our first look at New Sheridan, hands down! The morning was so amazing, getting ready with the girls, yoga at the house, everything was wonderful but I didn’t realize how stressed I was until I got to see my soon to be husband for our first look. I was more excited to marry him at that point than ever. It was such a relief to hug and love on him at that moment. I would have to say the feeling at that moment set the tone for the rest of our lives.
Tell me about your dress (and those shoes!!!) Florence by Monique Luhuillier. Purchased at Anna Be! Pearl necklace from Joel and earring to match from mom.
And we both wore Salvatore Ferragamo shoes that we bought together in Chicago on Michigan Ave.
If you had one piece of advice for other brides – what would it be? Hire Kara! She seriously gave me the wedding of my dreams. I loved being there for a full week, having time to let it sink before the actual day. Making a point to be present, I wanted to remember every moment. Write your vows early, don’t wait till the last minute.
