The Smog Shoppe is the perfect answer to cool meets cooler and when paired with a garden style wedding full of pastels like this it proves to be wildly magical. Also magical? Playing old black and white movies on the wall during the reception. From the bride… Our vision was to bless everyone who came from far and near to share in our wedding day. Every little detail from picking the venue and the wedding invitation design was a collaboration between the bride and groom to make the day wonderful for all to share. One of our favorite projects we worked on was the multi-fold invitation design that had a picture of a mint and gold Vintage Porsche 356 roadster, fitting of the Smog Shoppe venue. When we walked into the Smog Shoppe, we knew this was the perfect venue for our wedding. We wanted a relaxed cool vibe. We fell in love with the succulent walls and the whimsical touches at the venue. We picked the peach, hues of pink, peach, and pop of mint, just like a freshly picked spring bouquet. Event Styling was perfectly executed by Joo Hee, (bride’s sister) at Mille de Fleur. We displayed romantic black and white movies “Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Roman Holiday, and Sabrina” in the background which choreographed our first dance, dinner, and celebration. Our first dance was an unreleased song called “Falling” by one of our favorite bands the Lumineers. In terms of wedding favors, we wanted something guests could enjoy and take home and put on their coffee tables as a momento. We remembered Flipbooth from the UniqueLA show we went to and thought it would be really fun for our guests so that they can make their own flipbook movies to always remember. We also chose JAC Photography to be the sole creative wedding photographer to capture all the special moments of our wedding.
