Kelsey and Junbo kawaii, pastel, Disney wedding is going to make you squeal with joy. It certainly did me when I first saw it! Taking place at the gorgeous Lake Oak Meadows in Temecula, California, it was inspired by the fact that they both adore all things Disney.
“We love Disney”, the bride explained, “so the wedding had many Disney themes including Disneyland attractions music, character centrepieces, a Cinderella carriage and a carousel wedding cake! We homemade the centrepieces, floral wreaths and emoji fan programs.”
The bride wore her own version of a Disney princess dress, a customised gown with Melissa x Disney Cinderella slippers and a Minnie Mouse inspired bow! “The kids thought I was a real life princess!” she said. My dress ended up being the biggest expense of the wedding. My original dressmaker delayed my dress and I received it literally the Sunday before the wedding. She also made a number of mistakes so I had to bring it to another dressmaker who nailed my vision in four days! It was all worth it in the end though.”
“Everything about our wedding was the best part!” she concluded. “It was SO much fun and we loved hearing everyone say that it was the most fun wedding they’ve ever attended! I loved the amount of creativity we applied and thinking of fun ideas to make it even more fun and unique was awesome.”
“My advice for other couples would be to make the day so that you love it! Even if your parents are seeking a traditional wedding, add some elements that make it YOU! My mom was hoping for a traditional wedding but ended up seeing how amazing everything turned out, especially after we planned it ourselves after she was sadly diagnosed with Lymphoma. Her friends were talking about our wedding for months afterwards!”
