Captured beautifully by Sunshower Photography, today’s artistic villa inspired shoot is the kind that will inspire you to no end. Carefully Curated Style worked their magic in the design department. And with the loveliest of florals by Philo Floral — let’s just say we simply can’t say enough about this dreamy shoot (planned by Events with Shelley) in this dreamy space at the Southern Bleachery.
Ideas for the color palette developed as the shoot design came into clearer focus, and ultimately the creative team chose a blue-green, aqua and rust scheme. All were drawn to the golden yellow color of the bridesmaid dresses, which were bold enough for the modern bride, but still consistent with the artistic culinary and floral design they envisioned for the shoot.
Copper was mixed with subtle black accents to extend the palette for the reception style, complementing the brighter colors in the overall design…
…while this invitation design from Minted truly captured this mix of modern and vintage that they so desired to evoke. 
Ultimately, the floral and cake designers both took the creative team’s inspiration and ran with it. Many of the flowers were gathered locally and incorporated in a loose, organic style.
And, of course, the classic Pontiac fit the need for more character than a traditional limo or antique car.
Most importantly, the team behind this shoot set out to present a tablescape that a couple would feel confident replicating and showcasing on their own day with their own vendors.
They selected the modern, loft-like Southern Bleachery for its elegant blank slate quality, and used only design elements that can be easily sourced through rental companies, designers and florists.
The wedding cake was designed by Tessa Pinner Cake and used techniques usually found in pottery – a truly unique design for a modern creation.
