Is it wrong to be jealous of a baby? Not only does Owen have the most piercing blue eyes, he also gets to grow up in one of the sweetest nurseries I think I’ve ever seen. I particularly love that it feels perfectly age appropriate, yet can easily grow as he does. Warm and cozy is the name of the game here and I’d happily make myself comfortable within the confines of this space. Captured by Angela Newton Roy Photography and designed by L&S Designs , there’s a whole lot more in the gallery.
From Owens Mom… As soon as my husband and I found out we were expecting, I emailed Angela (Angela Newton Roy Photography). I knew Angela through a mutual friend, and had often seen her sweet blog posts of dreamy weddings, loving engagements, and gorgeous bright eyed babies in their parent’s arms, and I knew immediately that I wanted her to capture some of our special moments with Owen!
We all agreed that pictures at home would be perfect, as I am a stay at home mommy and my husband works from home as well. I put Owen down for his naps, and sometimes lay with him until he falls asleep. These are already some of my favorite memories with him, and we love that she was able to capture that for us, so that when Owen is older I will never forget those quiet, special, snuggly moments.
I started on Owen’s nursery as soon as I found out we were having a boy. I wanted to make sure I had plenty of time to make his room the most special, cozy place for him to play and sleep and read!
I didn’t have a set theme in mind, however it started to evolve around woodland animals – mainly foxes – because I envisioned that Owen would be feisty since he was so squirmy and active in my belly from about 4 months on!
I love having every little detail of his nursery captured in the images. Be it the books on Owen’s shelves, the fun woodland even pictures of our loving grandparents in the hallway outside of his room. I am such a sentimental person, and these photographs are extremely special to me already, because they will always help me to remember how amazing my experience was as a first time mom.
And because, if you know us at all by now you’ll know that we can’t resist a buying guide…
