Layla and Neema envisioned a destination wedding that felt romantic, organic, and deeply connected to nature. Their celebration took place at Acre Resort in Los Cabos, where the natural landscape of palms, desert greenery, and warm light inspired a design palette of earthy tones and lush florals. The overall aesthetic combined elegant garden-style arrangements with textured florals and cascading greenery to create an immersive atmosphere. Long tables with layered candlelight, natural linens, and elevated floral installations created a warm and intimate environment where guests could dine and celebrate beneath the open sky. The design was intentionally curated to feel sophisticated but relaxed, allowing the beauty of the venue and the floral installations to become the focal point of the celebration.

Food and drinks were an important part of the guest experience throughout the wedding weekend. The celebration included multiple events beginning with a pool party and welcome celebration before the wedding day, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the destination together. Wedding Weekend Timeline _ Layl… For the wedding day at Acre Resort, guests were welcomed with infused water before the ceremony and later enjoyed a cocktail hour featuring signature drinks created for the couple. Layla’s signature drink was a Spicy Passion Fruit Margarita, while Neema’s cocktail, called “Cactus Flower,” combined mezcal with rose liqueur and prickly pear syrup. During the reception, guests enjoyed a family-style dinner featuring dishes such as wild mushroom risotto, organic chicken, braised beef, and Acre’s catch of the day. The evening concluded with a variety of desserts, including churros, paletas, chocolate cake, and cream puffs, creating a festive and interactive dining experience.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Florals were a central element of the wedding design and helped transform the reception space into a lush garden environment. The floral palette included roses, hydrangeas, ranunculus, lisianthus, amaranthus, and seasonal greenery in shades of burgundy, caramel, ochre, blush, and soft neutrals.
One of the most striking features was the dramatic overhead floral installations above the reception tables. Cascading greenery and textured blooms created movement and depth, giving the space a romantic and immersive feeling while still allowing the natural surroundings of Acre to shine.
Additional arrangements were used throughout the bar area, seating chart display, and reception tables to maintain a cohesive design throughout the entire event.[/field]

Wedding Cake The wedding cake reflected the same refined elegance found throughout the rest of the celebration. The design featured a three-tier cake with white buttercream frosting, decorated with delicate florals that matched the bride’s bouquet and the overall floral palette. The cake flavor was strawberries and cream, creating a light and refreshing dessert moment for guests. The cake cutting took place later in the evening as guests gathered around the dance floor to celebrate the couple before continuing the night of dancing and festivities.

The ceremony itself was officiated by Neema’s brother, making the moment deeply personal and emotional for the couple and their families.
Wedding Weekend Timeline _ Layl…
The reception began with a lively entrance to “Bamboleo” before transitioning into the couple’s first dance to Andrea Bocelli’s “Il Primo Bacio.” Later in the evening, live percussion joined the DJ to elevate the dance floor and keep the celebration going late into the night, creating an energetic and unforgettable atmosphere.[/field]
